STEAM FACIAL AT HOME


LOOKING FOR A WAY TO STEP UP YOUR SKINCARE GAME then you have come to the right place. If you want to look refreshed without using any chemicals you can steam your face at home! STEAM FACIAL IS A DIY SKIN TREATMENT. It will open your pores and increase circulation,leaving your skin clean and glowing.

STEPS:-

1. BOIL WATER

Bring a small utensil or pot and fill it with water and bring it to a full boil.A basic steam involves nothing but water and your skin.

2. WASH YOUR FACE

While the water is heating up, wash your face with a cleanser. Make sure to remove all of your makeup or dirt on your skin.
  • Don't wash your face with harsh soap.Wash your face with a mild cleanser so that further steam treatment will not irriate your skin.
3. STEAM YOUR FACE

Take a glass bowl or any other bowl and pour hot water in it. Take the towel and drape the towel over your head so that it drops down on either side of your face. This will trap the steam which will only concentrate on our face only.Place your face close enough to the steaming water but not so close that your skin feels like burning or you are having trouble in breathing.Steam your face for 10 minutes.
  • You can add special oil,herbs,lemon or green tea bag.
  • Don't steam your face for more than 10 minutes especially for acne-prone skin.
  • After steaming pat your face softly with a dry towel.
3.SCRUB YOUR FACE

The steam treatment leaves your pores open making the perfect time to draw all dirt, oil or other impurities out.
MAKE YOUR OWN HOME-MADE SCRUB.
Here are few of my personal favourites scrub-
  • Take SUGAR and TOMATO JUICE in a bowl and mix it. Apply it on your face and leave it for 2-5 mins and after that scrub your face for 5-8 mins and then wash your face.
  • Take OATS and MILK in a bowl and mix it.Apply it on your face and scrub it for 5-8 mins and then leave it for 2-5 mins and then wash your face.It makes your skin clean and sebum free.
  • Take COFFEE and YOGHURT and HONEY and mix it properly. Apply it on your face for 10 mins and then wash it.It will hydrate and make your skin glowing.
  • Take RICE and TOMATO and HONEY and then mix it .Apply it on your face for 10 mins and then wash it.It will hydrate your skin and this is my personal favourite.
4. MASK YOUR FACE

    After the scrub is the best time for face mask.it will calm your skin and hydrate your skin.
    HERE ARE SOME HOMEMADE MASK-
    • Take MULTANI MITTI and CURD and mix it and apply it for 10-15 min. This is best for acne-prone and oily skin.
    • Take BESAN and TURMERIC and ROSEWATER and mix it and apply it on your face. Leave it for 10-15 mins.This is best for tanned skin and makes your skin glowing.
    • Take RICE FLOUR and ALOVERA and mix it and apply on your face and leave it for 10 mins.This mask is best for skin which has blemishes. 
    5. TONE YOUR FACE

    After you rinse your mask, use a facial toner to help your pore close back.
    HERE ARE SOME OF THE HOMEMADE TONERS-

    • LEMON JUICE makes a great natural toner.Mix 1 tablespoon with 1 cup of water.Apply it with the help of cotton pad.
    • APPLE CIDER VINEGAR is another great option.Mix 1 tablespoon with 1 cup of water.
    • If you don't want to do either then you can apply ICE CUBES(2 ice cubes is enough),this will close your pores and then apply ROSEWATER.This is what I love to do.
    6.MOISTURIZE YOUR FACE

      Steam and heat can make the skin dry. So it is good to follow your treatment with a moisturizer.
      • IF YOU DON'T WANT TO APPLY CHEMICAL-BASED MOISTURIZER then you can apply ALOVERA and then massage gently and let it absorb completely.


      HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE DO THIS STEAM TREATMENT❔
      You should steam your face once in a week. If you have clogged pores then you can steam your face twice a week until the condition improves.Steaming to often can actually lead to skin breakouts.

      IS STEAMING MY FACE IS A GOOD TREATMENT WHEN YOU HAVE PIMPLES❔
      Yes, you can as it will open your pore and it will be good for skin and then you can apply any homemade remedies or any cream.
